Green Mountain Rehab offers a new treatment option to Vermonters

In May of 2011, we became certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) through Kinetacore and Integrated Dry Needling.  TDN is an approved physical therapy technique using thin acupuncture needles to deactivate trigger points, or knots, in muscles.

When the trigger points are deactivated, there is a twitch response which relaxes the muscle and releases muscle shortening and ultimately reduces pain.  Muscular shortening can restrict joint motion resulting in numerous dysfunctions such as osteoarthritis, tendonitis, radiculopathy and chondromalacia.  TDN can also have a healing effect on chronic injuries such as tendinosis.trigger point dry needling
